VL-190 Bouncing out Ground Bounce

VL-190 Bouncing out Ground Bounce

Ground bounce is the most difficult problem in signal integrity to fix because it is confusing and involves inductance, which is generally poorly understood. In this lecture, we introduce a few essential principles of inductance that can be used to understand the root cause of ground bounce. Armed with these principles, we look at the physical origin of ground bounce and how we can eliminate it in typical designs. By minimizing ground bounce, we also minimize EMI.
