VC_ASID_08 Minimizing EMI

VC_ASID_08 Minimizing EMI

This is lecture 8 in the Advanced Signal Integrity Design Professional Development Curriculum. We discuss what it takes to pass an EMC certification test. Starting with a description of how common currents radiate, we look at the three important sources of common currents and how to optimize the design to eliminate them. We explore cable and connector design to minimize radiation and the use of ferrites and SSCG chips. Finally we review the use of enclosures.
