Ground bounce is a form of crosstalk that arises when signals share a common return path. In this introductory article, we illustrate the root cause of ground bounce and some of the common methods to control it. If special care is not taken, ground bounce will only get worse with shorter rise times. Not getting your ground bounce in control now will mean certain failure in the future.
